Citroen Bids Adieu to Australia, Citing Slow Sales
End of an Era for French Carmaker
Struggling Sales Force Closure
Citroen Australia, the local importer of the French car brand, has announced that it will cease selling new vehicles locally from November 1.
The decision comes after years of declining sales for the brand, with only 87 units sold in the first half of 2024, a number lower than that of supercar maker Ferrari.
According to Inchcape, the local importer of Citroen, the decision was made after careful consideration of the brand's future prospects in the Australian market.
