Gal Gadot is an Israeli actress and model. She was born in Petah Tikva, Israel to an Ashkenazi Jewish family. Gadot served two years in the Israel Defense Forces as a combat fitness instructor. She began her acting career in 2004, when she was cast as the lead role in the Israeli television series Bubot. In 2008, she made her film debut in the Israeli film Kicking Out Shoshana.

Gadot's breakthrough role came in 2011, when she was cast as Gisele Yashar in the Fast & Furious film series

She has since appeared in several other films, including Date Night (2010), Knight and Day (2010), and Wonder Woman (2017). Gadot is married to Israeli businessman Yaron Varsano, and they have three children.
