Devoted Father and Community Servant Laid to Rest

Relatives and friends gathered to mourn the loss of Corey Comperatore, a devoted father and volunteer firefighter who was fatally shot at a Trump rally. Comperatore's funeral took place on Friday at his longtime church, where he was a beloved member.
Corey Comperatore, 50, was on-duty as a volunteer firefighter when the shooting occurred. Gov. Josh Shapiro described Comperatore as a hero, who selflessly dove onto family members to protect them from the gunfire.
Comperatore's loved ones spoke of his unwavering service to both his family and community. He was a pillar in his neighborhood and known for his love of fishing.
