Alec Baldwin to Go on Trial for Involuntary Manslaughter in 'Rust' Shooting

Nearly three years after the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, Alec Baldwin is set to stand trial for his alleged involvement in the incident.

A jury has been selected in New Mexico to hear the case, which stems from the 2021 on-set shooting of the film "Rust." Baldwin was holding a gun that misfired, killing Hutchins and injuring director Joel Souza.

Baldwin has denied any wrongdoing, claiming that he was not aware that the gun contained live ammunition.
