Porzingis Out for Game 5

The Boston Celtics will be without Kristaps Porzingis for Game 5 of their first-round series against the Knicks. Porzingis suffered a right knee injury in Game 4 and is expected to miss the rest of the series.

The Celtics are also without Marcus Smart (ankle) and Robert Williams III (knee) for Game 5. Smart is listed as day-to-day, while Williams is out indefinitely.

Other Celtics Injuries

In addition to Porzingis, Smart, and Williams, the Celtics have several other players who are dealing with injuries.

  • Jaylen Brown (ankle) - questionable for Game 5
  • Jayson Tatum (wrist) - probable for Game 5
  • Al Horford (knee) - probable for Game 5
  • Malcolm Brogdon (hamstring) - out for Game 5

The Celtics will need to overcome their injuries if they want to advance to the second round of the playoffs. Game 5 is scheduled for Wednesday night at Madison Square Garden.
